What is Pilates?
Pilates is a mental and physical body-conditioning that uses exercises to develop functional and sustainable movement patterns throughout the body. Each movement is performed mindfully with precision and control. It aims to improve muscle recruitment patterns, by restoring good postural alignment, learn to breathe efficiently and strengthen the core. It will also help to improve balance, flexibility, and coordination. Pilates is an effective method for reducing risk of injury and keeping the joints safe. This class is ideal for different ages and fitness level.
Yoga
What is Yoga?
Yoga is a Sanskrit word means “Yoke” or “Union”. It is an ancient system that aim is to create union of our mind, body, soul, and universal consciousness. This process of uniting our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our being, is what allows Yogis to experience self-realization. There are many different styles of yoga practice, each of them has their own unique focus and approach but ultimately lead to the same goal of unification. Practices include breathing techniques, postures, relaxation, chanting, and other meditation methods.
Regular practice of Yoga helps to reduce stress, depression, and anxiety, as it promotes relaxation. Helps to heal tension to the body like back pain, and prevents chronic illnesses associated with mental stress. Improve flexibility, strength, stamina, and balance. After the Yoga practice you will feel energized, with a sense of lightness and peace.
Sound Healing Meditation
What is Sound Healing Meditation?
Sound Healing Meditation is the use of sound as a tool to cultivate and support deep relaxation. It is a therapeutic and meditative experience that uses high vibrational frequencies that penetrate deep into the tissue, allows the mind and body to enter a state of deep relaxation. This practice is highly effective at triggering our relaxation response, which counters the many symptoms caused by chronic stress. Sound therapy techniques are delivered using instruments such as Tibetan, crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums, and other sound healing instruments. Sound Healing Meditation supports our physical, mental, and emotional well-being, leaving us feeling balanced and refreshed!
What to expect during the session
You will lie down comfortably on a mat (savasana position), perhaps you might need a blanket to keep you warm and cushion to give you comfort. And simply relax and listen to the soothing sounds and vibrations. The sound frequencies will slow down the brain waves to a deeply restorative state, which activates the body’s system of self-healing.
Pilates or Yoga + Sound Healing Meditation
It is a 90 minutes class, combining physical practice of either Yoga or Pilates for 60 minutes and followed my Sound Healing Meditation for 30 minutes.
A combination session that aims to heal your body and mind.
